The right work, for the right reasons
More than activity.
A plan with purpose.
Product seeding can help a partner understand taste, texture, preparation, packaging or everyday use before deciding whether content is appropriate. It becomes risky when gifting is treated as a shortcut to guaranteed praise. We coordinate recipient consent, product selection, shipping, education and follow-up while keeping editorial independence and disclosure visible. The process distinguishes optional gifts from contracted deliverables and records who owns samples, inventory, address handling and reaction concerns. For supplements, wellness foods and related products, seeding also requires careful claims guidance and a route for questions about suitability or adverse experiences. The value comes from informed, voluntary evaluation and operational learning, not from assuming every parcel should produce a post or sale.
Appropriate recipient selection
Qualify recipients by audience relevance, product fit, location, consent and realistic interest. Dietary needs, shade preferences, equipment or usage context can be considered where necessary, without collecting more personal information than the seeding purpose requires.
A traceable seeding workflow
Record invitation, consent, address handling, shipment, delivery, education and follow-up status. Inventory and shipping issues become visible early. A delivered package is tracked as an operational step, not presented as secured content or an endorsement.
Clear boundaries around coverage
Partners understand whether the product is an optional gift or part of a defined agreement. Disclosure responsibilities, content rights and affiliate links are addressed separately, so a free product is not mistaken for permission to reuse content or a promise of positive review.
From strategy to execution
What we can deliver
Practical workstreams, clear handoffs and a scope shaped around your starting point.
Recipient qualification and consent
Assess audience fit, geography, product relevance and willingness to receive a gift. Invitation records document what was offered and whether publication was optional. Personal delivery or preference information is collected only for a clear, stated purpose.
Seeding brief and shipment coordination
Prepare product and disclosure guidance, coordinate stock and fulfillment, and track shipment exceptions. We align timing with expiration dates, launch embargoes and partner workflows. Custom packaging, international customs and cold-chain requirements may require separate operational ownership.
Receipt follow-up and product education
Confirm receipt, answer practical questions and provide approved usage or ingredient information. Follow-up is timed around realistic experience, not an immediate demand for praise. Reported concerns are routed to the brand's responsible support or safety process.
Gift disclosure and outcome tracking
Maintain records of gifted relationships, contracted work and resulting content. Disclosure wording is coordinated with the responsible reviewer, while reporting distinguishes optional coverage from paid deliverables. Costs and outcomes are reviewed without assuming a post proves product efficacy.
Final deliverables, fees, approvals and responsibilities are agreed in a written proposal. Platform fees, product costs, shipping, creator fees and paid media are not assumed to be included.
How we work together
A considered process.
Not a one-size-fits-all playbook.
We establish what is ready, resolve the dependencies and build a repeatable working rhythm.
Set the seeding objective
Decide what partners need to experience and what the brand hopes to learn. Choose products, quantities and recipient groups that match that purpose. Confirm budget, inventory, shipping markets, expiration dates and any restrictions before invitations are sent.
Qualify and obtain consent
Invite recipients with a clear description of the product and expectations. Confirm delivery details and relevant preferences only where needed. Do not require publication as a condition unless a separate contracted arrangement has been agreed and disclosed appropriately.
Coordinate shipment and education
Provide tracking, preparation or usage guidance, approved claims and a contact for questions. Record dispatch and delivery exceptions. For ingestible or topical products, ensure recipients know where to direct suitability or reaction concerns without delaying appropriate support.
Follow up and review outcomes
Send a proportionate follow-up after a realistic experience window. Record content, questions, suitability issues and partner feedback without pressuring coverage. Review costs and outcomes by purpose; a lack of posts can still reveal useful product or briefing problems.
In practice / illustrative scenario
Illustrative scenario: seeding a new protein format
This hypothetical example is not evidence of client outcomes. A nutrition brand wants creators to experience a new protein format before launch. Samples are limited, flavors divide opinion, and some recipients may have dietary restrictions that make the product unsuitable.
A planning example, not a client case study or a promise of results.
The approach
The seeding plan would qualify interest and dietary fit, confirm addresses, provide preparation guidance and state that coverage is optional for gifted recipients. Any contracted video or usage rights would be agreed separately. Delivery, questions and content would be tracked without requiring a positive conclusion.
What we would learn
The brand would review fulfillment accuracy, preparation questions, flavor feedback, disclosure quality and any tracked activity. A low posting rate could reflect product fit or an unclear brief. It would not justify sending larger volumes before the team understands why recipients did or did not respond.
Signals that inform decisions
Measure what matters.
Then decide what comes next.
Reporting should explain trade-offs and next actions—not just count activity. Available data depends on your platform and integrations.
Consent-to-delivery completion
Track invitations, acceptances, valid delivery details, shipments and confirmed delivery. Investigate inventory, address and carrier exceptions separately. High delivery completion shows operational reliability, but it does not establish partner satisfaction or future content value.
Qualified content outcome
Record resulting content by recipient, format, timing and whether it was optional or contracted. Review relevance, accuracy and disclosure rather than counting every mention equally. Engagement can inform creative learning but does not prove health outcomes or incremental purchases.
Cost per usable learning or placement
Compare product, packaging, shipping and coordination costs with the intended outcome. A campaign seeking product feedback and one seeking contracted media should not be judged with the same denominator. Include unclaimed packages and unsuitable matches in the cost review.
Before we begin
Bring your context.
We'll build the plan together.
You do not need every answer before contacting us. These inputs help identify the right first step.
- Confirm the seeding objective, recipient categories, product quantities, market restrictions, expiration dates and available budget.
- Provide approved usage instructions, ingredient information, claims guidance, disclosure requirements and the owner for safety or suitability questions.
- Identify the fulfillment owner, shipping tools, stock reservation process, address-handling rules and customer-support escalation route.
- Separate optional gifts from paid deliverables and document whether affiliate links, content rights or future usage are being requested.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about your specific setup?
Let's talk it throughDoes sending a free product require a post?
Not when it is offered as an optional gift. A recipient can evaluate suitability and decline to publish, while still being expected to disclose a material relationship if they do share content. If your team requires specific deliverables, timing or approvals, that is contracted work and should be agreed separately. We keep those boundaries explicit in the invitation and brief.
How do you choose what product information to collect?
We collect only information needed to make a safe, relevant shipment or product match, such as delivery details and explicitly requested preferences. Health histories and other sensitive details are not requested for convenience. Any dietary or suitability questions need a defined purpose, appropriate handling and a route to your responsible support process. Legal requirements depend on the market and data involved.
What happens if a recipient dislikes the product?
They should not be pressured to reverse their view or publish positive coverage. We record relevant feedback and route product, safety or suitability concerns to the correct brand owner. A negative experience may still provide useful operational learning. If content is contracted, the agreement should address approval limits honestly; it should not require a false endorsement or conceal a material connection.
Can we use content created after gifting in ads?
Not automatically. A gift and an affiliate relationship do not necessarily grant reuse, editing, whitelisting or paid-media rights. The channel, duration, territory, format and compensation should be agreed with the creator before advertising use. We coordinate the request and record the response, but your legal reviewer remains responsible for final rights language and approval.
How long should partners have before follow-up?
Timing depends on shipping, preparation and the type of experience being requested. A beverage may need less time than a routine-based supplement, but no timeline should encourage unsupported claims about longer-term effects. We agree a practical follow-up window with the product owner. Follow-up asks whether the product arrived and whether questions remain; it does not demand a favorable conclusion.
Is seeding cheaper than paying creators?
Not necessarily, and the two activities buy different things. Seeding includes product, packaging, shipping, coordination and unsuitable-match costs while producing no guaranteed deliverable. Paid creator work may provide defined production and usage terms. We compare total cost and intended outcome rather than treating a free-product program as a no-cost substitute for contracted content or media distribution.
